We are inviting applications for the position “Biochemist” (depending on experience) to work with our core research and diagnostic team. Required Candidate Profile

• M.Sc. in Biochemistry or Genetic Engineering • Candidates with working experience in a scientific or diagnostic laboratory or, laboratory-based management will be given preference. • Must be highly organized and be particularly attentive to details • Must possess problem-solving, critical thinking, and management skill and be able to work independently • Must be enthusiastic to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment and be willing to take initiative • Good communication skills • Capacity to supervise junior colleagues

Role

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a diverse range of laboratory equipment • Plan, execute, and supervise laboratory activities for research studies • Supervise processing of clinical specimens from a range of sources and/or identification of microorganisms using conventional and/or molecular techniques • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate new techniques or equipment in the lab • Notifying laboratory management about any instrument/equipment issues • Plan and organize training sessions for general audience or study-specific personnel • Conducting scientific experiments and interpreting them with precision and accuracy • Document and maintain instrument, reagent, and quality control records in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements • Willing to visit field sites across Bangladesh when necessary and work with the field/ central teams
