We’re thrilled to share that 9 students and 1 faculty member from Barisal University traveled all the way to Dhaka to participate in our Molecular Biology and Sanger Sequencing training programs—and successfully graduated today!
In the first week, they attended lectures and participated in hands-on sessions covering key molecular biology techniques like DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, primer design, and a visit to the in-patient department. The following week, they explored each step of the Sanger sequencing process and reflected on what makes it such a trusted and reliable method in science.
Building Scientists for Bangladesh has always been about decentralization—making high-quality science training accessible to everyone. Being able to welcome and train students from Barisal University is a meaningful reminder of our continued commitment to that promise, and we’re proud to be living up to it.
