Our 5-day workshop on Epidemiological Methods for Investigating Respiratory Diseases in Bangladesh, supported by RESPIRE (National Institute for Health Research’s Global Health Research Unit on Respiratory Health), has officially come to an end!
We are incredibly proud of our thirteen brilliant participants who successfully completed the program. Representing institutions from across the country—including Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, North South University, Noakhali Science & Technology University, Pabna University of Science & Technology, Independent University Bangladesh, University of Chittagong, Presidency University, and RESPIRE partner organizations like Bangladesh Primary Care Respiratory Society, Fasiuddin Khan Research Foundation, and Projahnmo Research Foundation.
Throughout the week, participants explored key concepts in epidemiology and applied their knowledge in real-world settings. A highlight of the program was the visit to CHRF’s community surveillance site in Mirzapur, where they observed our data collection process in action and engaged with the dedicated village health workers, witnessing first-hand how efficiently the whole system runs. The workshop also included a meaningful OPD visit at Kumudini Hospital and Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute, allowing participants to connect clinical observation with epidemiological insights.
Congratulations to our amazing participants on completing the workshop! We can’t wait to see how each of these talented individuals carries their experience forward.
