Today, the Building Scientists for Bangladesh team coordinated an engaging tour for 22 sociology students—7 from Karatia Sadaat University College and 15 from Shahid Bhabani Prasad Saha Govt. College—at Kumudini Women's Hospital and CHRF’s Demographic Surveillance Site (DSS) in Mirzapur.
A highlight of the tour was visiting a nearby community, where they observed Village Health Workers collecting data firsthand. Additionally, they explored CHRF’s lab and had an OPD visit at Kumudini Hospital, giving them a comprehensive view of how healthcare and research come together at the local level.
The tour was an inspiring exchange of knowledge, leaving the students with a deeper appreciation for how data-driven fieldwork supports public health initiatives.
